Café Français
Café Français is an opportunity for francophone members of the Vanderbilt community to come together for a social hour sponsored by CSLS and the French department. Whether you’re a native speaker or someone who is just beginning to learn French, we invite you to join us in CSLS for conversation and coffee every TBD in FUR 001. A bientôt!

McTyeire International House
Vanderbilt University offers a living/learning residential option for students who are enthusiastic about practicing their French and learning more about francophone cultures of the world.  Every year the French Hall has a resident exchange student from France.

Wachs essay and creative writing competition is held each spring. Students from all levels of undergraduate French courses are encouraged to submit original work and/or revised work done for a course.

Pi Delta Phi
Pi Delta Phi aims to recognize and report merit in the study of French language, literature and civilization speaking among American students is to promote the development of links between the peoples of America and those of the French language.

Students who take French 3111 (French for Business) or French 3112 (Medical French) are eligible to take the CCIP (Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris) exam and earn an official French diploma in these fields.
