Bio:
A Nashville native, Lisa Travis Blomquist received both her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Vanderbilt before completing her PhD at Rice University in Houston, TX. Her research focuses on 19th and 20th century literature and is heavily influenced by extra course work in both French philosophy and in the field of Women and Gender Studies. She has completed graduate work abroad with New York University in Paris, the Institut d’Avignon through Brynn Mawr College, and has worked at the French Embassy in Washington, D.C.
