Tiffany Wilmot
Lecturer in Sociology
Tiffany Wilmot is a lecturer in Sociology and has been teaching at Vanderbilt since 2014. She is president of Wilmot, Inc. a sustainability consulting firm she founded in 1994. Her areas of expertise include solar development, waste reduction, high-performance buildings, and Triple Bottom Line Analysis. Past clients include Music City Center, Titans Stadium, FDA Headquarters, GM, the US Army, Metro Nashville, and the Coors Co. Wilmot is currently breaking new ground by siting solar on 200 buildings in Nashville and designing sustainability for the revitalization of 2nd Ave.
Wilmot has been named to the Mayor’s Sustainability Committee the last 4 administrations and served in leadership roles on the Green Building & Energy Subcommittees. She co-founded TWIG (TN Women in Green), a 501c3 in 2008. She also serves on the Cumberland River Compact Board of Directors. In 2012, she was named USGBC faculty and is licensed to teach LEED curriculum.
