Blake Powell

Graduate Student

Blake graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from Tulane University in 2023. He is moving to Nashville from Pasadena, CA, where he worked at City of Hope National Medical Center, specializing in the application sociological methods to rare genetic diseases and cancer. During his time at Vanderbilt, he will be studying the intersections of health, disease and cancer, social networks, and social support by applying the theoretical and quantitative methods of Medical Sociology.
