Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Environmental Sociology
The Department of Sociology at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a tenure-track
Assistant Professor in the area of environmental sociology to begin fall semester 2023. The
capacity to bring in external funding is highly desirable. Candidacy for this position will be
strengthened if the applicant can also contribute to at least one of our existing departmental
strengths in social movements and medical/health sociology. The university is home to a strong
network of environmental researchers, and there are collaborative opportunities through the
Vanderbilt Program in Climate and Environmental Studies.
Qualifications
Vanderbilt expects excellence in research and teaching. The Ph.D. is required by August 1, 2023.
