Strengths-based coaching for Graduate Students

The GLI is excited to provide graduate students with the opportunity to tap in to and explore their natural talents using one-on-one strengths-based coaching with the CliftonStrengths® Assessment

Research shows that when we intentionally apply our talents, we become more confident, happy, energetic, and likely to achieve our goals. This understanding of our natural talents and how they show up for us in our behavior helps us achieve greater self-awareness, a fundamental component of emotional intelligence and a core leadership competency. Schedule your coaching appointment to receive your free CliftonStrengths® code. The assessment results will include your unique rank order of the 34 CliftonStrengths themes, providing insights into how you most naturally think, feel, and behave.

Once you have completed the assessment, you will meet with a Strengths Certified Coach to help you explore new ways to apply strengths. These one-on-one coaching sessions are a safe and supportive space where you can ask questions and collaborate, while:

  • Exploring your CliftonStrengths® Assessment results
  • Gaining awareness and appreciation of your talent profile
  • Focusing talents productively, creating a plan to leverage them to align with your goals.

Please schedule your first appointment at least one week in advance. Once your appointment is scheduled a strengths assessment code will be sent via email. The assessment must be completed at least two days before your scheduled coaching appointment. Please email Irene Wallrich directly if you cannot find an available appointment that works with your schedule.  If you have already had an initial coaching session you may schedule a session at your earliest convenience.

While all coaching sessions are private, university staff are mandatory reporters, who are legally obligated to report any allegations of sexual misconduct (assault, harassment, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking and child abuse) and any suspected discrimination (about age, race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, national or ethnic origin, sex/gender, sexual orientation, disability, genetic information, military status, familial status or other protected categories under local, state or federal law) to Vanderbilt’s Title IX Coordinator. Any disclosure of sexual misconduct and/or suspected discrimination will be kept as private as possible but will not be confidential.
