Stories are the single most powerful tool in a leader’s tool kit.
-Howard Gardner
In an increasingly complex world, the attention of others is a precious commodity. Storytelling is a powerful tool that helps us to relate to and connect with those around us.
During this workshop, participants will learn how to:
- Cultivate presence in various settings–one-on-one, team meetings, and presentation.
- Incorporate framing and other communication techniques to improve clarity and connect with any audience.
- Use the three techniques of the “metaphorical handshake” used to engage an audience.
This workshop is open to all graduate school students (PhD, MA, MFS, MLAS & MS) and postdocs. Spaces for this workshop are limited and registration is required.
