Beat Radio

is the often collaborative musical stylings of Brian Sendrowitz. “Head Underwater” comes off the first installment of the LP Hard Times, Go! and was released in January of this year. The album is self-described as “an expansive, adventurous concept record that sonically and thematically falls between Bruce Springsteen’s Darkness on the Edge of Town and Robyn’s Body Talk.”

The sound of Beat Radio is at once familiar and yet distant, like someone else’s neighborhood at dusk in the summertime. The warm pop sounds feel layered in a new way with growling lo-fi flavor and echoes of an older place in sound’s history.
