Megafauna

is a power trio hailing from Austin, Texas.  They are known for their DIY ethos, punk rock sensibilities and mind bending live shows. They recently recorded a full length album entitled “Scratch at the Latch” with Erik Wofford, the producer of the Black Angels.  They have gone on twelve national and one European tour to date.

Touch the Lion was inspired by the MGM Casino in Detroit. Megafauna has toured through Detroit several times and always goes to the casino for free soda and coffee. The song is about trying to live life to the fullest despite the fact that the world is spiraling out of control.  “Don’t you want to grab at everyone?/ With the rioting, who will notice.”
