Don’t Leave
Tyler James’
debut full-length record It Took the Fire was released March 2 on Son of Geert Records. It Took the Fire was tracked in four days—on a piano once owned by Elvis—at Nashville’s legendary House of David studio. With meticulously crafted arrangements disguised as simple pop tunes, It Took the Fire is part classic 70’s rock, part Memphis soul.
Tyler James is also a founding member of Ten Out Of Tenn, a collective of Nashville musicians whose individual as well as collective body of work shatters the misconception that Nashville thrives solely on country music. Ten Out Of Tenn has produced four compilation albums, three tours, showcases at festivals like SXSW, and an awarding winning documentary, Any Day Now, that debuted at the 2009 Nashville Film Festival. www.tylerjames.com – Zachary Greenberg
