Artist’s Statement:
My paintings are a search for a light in the dark. I have always been attracted to stained glass. I attempt to replicate, with paint in a resist technique, the brilliant light effects of stained glass. I paint the natural world and am devoted to images of land, water, sky. My Earthscapes reference landscape and memory and meet at the intersection of physical geography and intuition. If viewers say they would like to be in my paintings or that the pieces remind them of a place they love, I feel I have succeeded.
