The REAM Foundation Scholarship

  • This scholarship was established in 2008 by The REAM Foundation of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, to provide need-based scholarship support to a student in the College of Arts and Science. First preference is given to a Jewish studies major, with second preference to a student from the Chicago area.

The Miriam Halachmi Prize for Excellence in Modern Hebrew

  • This prize was established in 2015 in memory of educator and leader, Miriam Halachmi. A $50.00 cash prize is awarded annually to a student who has demonstrated excellence in Hebrew language studies at Vanderbilt University.

Prize for the Best Undergraduate Paper in Jewish Studies

  • This competition is open to enrolled students in all schools. Papers on any topic in Jewish Religion, History, or Culture are eligible for the contest. The winning author will receive a $50 prize and recognition on the Jewish Studies website and the departmental plaque.
