Schoenberg’s "A Survivor from Warsaw," Performance and Lecture

The Vanderbilt Orchestra will perform Schoenberg’s A Survivor from Warsaw at Ingram Hall on Saturday January 24th at 8:00 p.m. The piece will be performed with the men of the Vanderbilt Symphonic Choir and with narration by Vanderbilt musicologist Jim Lovensheimer.

A pre-concert talk by Joy H. Calico, Associate Professor of Musicology & European Studies and affiliated faculty in Jewish Studies will take place at 7:15 in the Choral Rehearsal Hall. Calico is the author of Arnold Schoenberg’s A Survivor from Warsaw in Postwar Europe (University of California Press, 2014).
