In the aftermath of the tragedy in Orlando, the tragedies in the United States have mounted up. Of course, we all know, unfortunately, that violence and marginalization are nothing new, but there is an accumulation and visibility and level of public discourse that certainly creates the feeling of escalation.

This panel discussion will serve as a space for guided conversations providing context to recent events and addresses the many intersecting layers of violence and marginalization in this country, including and not limited to: race, religion, gun control, masculinity, gender identity, sexuality, class, mass incarceration, public health.

Please join a myriad of faculty members and staff from across campus in this important discussion.
