Mona Emara

 

Biography

Mona Emara joined the Teachable Agents Group in Spring 2016. She is an assistant lecturer in Educational Psychology at Damanhour University in Egypt. Currently, she is working on her Ph.D. research in collaborative learning at Vanderbilt University. Mona studies collaborative learning, especially socially shared regulation, in Betty’s Brain and is interested in applying learning analytics to understand and assess students’ collaborative regulation behaviors in open-ended learning environments.

Mona received a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Alexandria University, Egypt and worked as a research scholar at Simon Fraser University’s Educational Psychology Laboratory. Her research work at Vanderbilt University is funded by a scholarship from the Egyptian government.
