Teresa Torres: 2024 February Student Spotlight

Torres is a member of the Vanderbilt Institute of Infection, Immunology, and Inflammation Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee and is actively involved in the Nashville community. She volunteers with Best Buddies, an international organization that promotes friendship and social inclusion for people with special needs. Teresa was recently honored with the prestigious K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award by the American Association of Colleges and Universities, being the first Vanderbilt graduate student to receive the award. In addition, she was awarded the Graduate Leadership Anchor Award in March 2023.
