Located in the international hub of Geneva, this study center program addresses causes of instability in the global economy, alternative systems of intermediation, and the implications of financial crises on economies, in the classroom and through briefings and lectures onsite at financial institutions, international organizations, think tanks, and NGOs. Coursework includes French language (multiple levels), as well as excursions, including travel to Greece to examine the impact of the recent economic crisis on the country’s financial system and society. For the final month of the program, students have the option to intern with a sustainable development company, start-up, intergovernmental organization, or Swiss or international NGO, or to conduct research in sustainable development and finance, circular economy, ethical banking, or impact investment.
