Rohit Sahni, Vanderbilt alum and co-founder of Harbor Spring Capital, visited our students and faculty for a “Mastering the Finance Interview” workshop. His in-depth presentation covered resume design, networking, technical interview concepts, and investment pitch ideas for those interested in careers in investment banking, consulting, hedge funds, and private equity. Mr. Sahni also spoke on his time as an Ingram Scholar, intern with JP Morgan, and learned experiences with companies such as Goldman Sachs. He currently serves as chairman of the board of Even Ground (a nonprofit focused on youth education in South Africa), a member of the Ingram Scholarship Board for Vanderbilt University, and a career coach for Harvard Business School. Mr. Sahni’s “crash course” was not only motivational, but also personable while providing constructive feedback to all in attendance.

Mr. Sahni’s involvement on the Ingram Scholarship Board and partnership with programs like ours shows his drive as a former Commodore to pour back into the Vanderbilt community.

Before being drafted by the MLB, Dansby was part of the Vanderbilt Commodores 2014 National Championship team and named the College World Series Most Outstanding Player. He spoke on his Georgia roots, background and development as a student-athlete, and professional experiences with Major League Baseball. As a former student, Dansby reflected on the relevance of our classes and the application of the fundamentals learned to a number of career options. His “trust the process” strategy serves as inspiration for our Vanderbilt student community.
