Has worked as a textbook, science and medical editor in Charlottesville and New York City, and as a grant writer for the University of Virginia and VU Medical Centers . . . Has written a novel and has published two books of nonfiction as well as two dozen articles and short stories . . . Writing tutor in 25 subjects at Vanderbilt . . . Candice Johnson

In 2016, Candice started out her career in academics as an academic assistant counselor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She also spent time at the University of North Carolina Greensboro as an academic assistant counselor. Prior to joining Vanderbilt’s academic support team, Candice served as an academic assistant counselor for football at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Originally a New York native, Candice was a 4 year member of the University of Maryland’s softball team. She currently resides in Nashville with her husband Bradley and dog Kobe.
