Elizabeth Balderston

Elizabeth Balderston received her BA in Sociology and Social and Public Policy from New York University in 2015 after three years of study. Her major research interests include the sociology of gender, the sociology of power, and political sociology. Her undergraduate research included an analysis of agenda-setting during the push to legalize marijuana in Colorado using Steven Luke’s scheme of three-dimensional power, as well as an examination of the effects of repealing the Glass-Steagall Act on social movements post-Citizens United decision by the Supreme Court. She has also participated in research that scrutinized propaganda and surveillance in the United States and United Kingdom.
