Spring SAVY 2019, Day 6 – Wind and Wings: Beginner Biophysics (1st/2nd)

Posted by on Monday, March 4, 2019 in Grade 1, Grade 2, SAVY.

We had a great last week! We wrapped up with class discussions about some the big ideas from the class. It was so interesting to listen to students as they made connections with the information from our class and information they knew from other topics. This discussion helped students combine what they learned with their imagination as they created an animal that could fly. They had to include features that helped the animal fly in its environment. It was fun to share our creations with others and compare the different features included by students to make their animals either successful predators or successful at evading predators.

Thank you again for coming to our open house! I know that the students appreciated sharing with you what they learned.
