The album is self-described as \u201can expansive, adventurous concept record that sonically and thematically falls between Bruce Springsteen\u2019s <em>Darkness on the Edge of Town <\/em>and Robyn\u2019s\u00a0<em>Body Talk<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The sound of Beat Radio is at once familiar and yet distant, like someone else\u2019s neighborhood at dusk in the summertime.
