Originally from Madison, WI, Paul Zografi lived\u00a0in Austin, Chicago, and Minneapolis, writing and playing roots Americana music, before settling in Nashville in 1993. \u00a0To date he has recorded six albums of original songs, most recently Sight<\/em>, recorded in 2009.\u00a0 www.zografi.com<\/a><\/p>\n

“Wounded” and “Home” are blues tunes, combining sparse electric guitar, piano, and Zografi’s clear, dark voice.\u00a0 “A shallow mine \/ A buried stone, a poison seed \/ To kill the wounded in me.”\u00a0 These haiku-like blues convey understated emotion through image and repetition.\u00a0 “Wave in the window \/ Wave in the window \/ Home.” \u2013\u00a0Zachary Greenberg<\/em><\/p>\n
