You said I never notice<br \/>\nanything until it\u2019s already gone\u2014I was mad<br \/>\nabout that the whole week you moved out.<br \/>\nDidn\u2019t realize you took the lightbulbs until<br \/>\nafter the sun went down. That the bowls<br \/>\nwere yours till the pasta was already al dente.<br \/>\nWhen you picture me, don\u2019t picture me<br \/>\non the other end of the line stirring alone<br \/>\nin the glow of my phone. Don\u2019t picture me<br \/>\neating right from the pot, still soupy with<br \/>\nthe once-boiled water. Just think of me here<br \/>\npushing on the pull side of the first step<br \/>\nof getting good at your absence.
