Or lake. How they tip. If they\u2019re okay<br \/>\nwith their toast as wheat not rye.\u00a0When they\u2019re seated in a booth<br \/>\nat a Denny\u2019s &amp; not expecting the world\u00a0to come right to them<br \/>\nlike an astronaut blanket or a five-year plan. That they too<br \/>\nwould like to melt all the guns. Feed them expired meat<br \/>\n&amp; watch them rot like November pumpkins. Give the guns<br \/>\na sailor\u2019s burial but substitute the sea for a hole\u00a0somewhere<br \/>\ndeep in the Pine Barrens. How they don\u2019t carry a knife<br \/>\nthat people can see but never have anything to cut.<br \/>\nHow they don\u2019t forward the message to eight different people<br \/>\nin order not to have bad luck in the New Year. That they don\u2019t<br \/>\nbelieve in the New Year but rather cannot get over the fact<br \/>\nthere exists a photograph of a black hole. How they\u2019ve tried<br \/>\nto take that photo but end up keeping a headache journal<br \/>\nfor the dogwoods. How they\u2019ve named bees.
