I want to be a whole forest.<br \/>\nBecause the trees in the South<\/p>\n<p>pollinated me. I crave the bowl\u2019s classic shape,<br \/>\nits existence as a versatile, concave<\/p>\n<p>container, waiting to be filled with beloved soup,<br \/>\nsaccharine promises, perfect rice. I notice the ceramic<\/p>\n<p>is comfortable with its whiteness. Shit. Adhesive<br \/>\nfrom discarded stickers clings<\/p>\n<p>to my fingerprints. The ladies of the gazebo<br \/>\nstare at birds all day. The bowl is large<\/p>\n<p>enough to hold: typical romance, pregnant<br \/>\n401(k), marvelous fame. The bowl<\/p>\n<p>is larger than me. Which I also happen to envy.<br \/>\nBut I\u2019m sure I can get it to overflow.<\/p>\n<p>Flipping it upside down. There\u2019s three Chinese<br \/>\ncharacters, who I can ambush<\/p>\n<p>with a plot they have no hope of understanding.<br \/>\nAnd I realize I want to be a character<\/p>\n<p>too. With circularity.
