I have a dream the night is giving us anything but language.<\/p>\n
my mother says —- —- — and my partner says – — ——.<\/p>\n
when I\u2019m unable to tell them I don\u2019t understand I say – —— –.<\/p>\n
when I wake, tired, I go for a drive. there are a few children<\/p>\n
bicycling. a house with great white antlers where a basketball goal should be.<\/p>\n
there is a friend I haven\u2019t spoken to in nearly a year,<\/p>\n
not for lack of love, but notknowinghowness. I don\u2019t call him.<\/p>\n
my globus comes and grows. my fear perches there, warbles.<\/p>\n
I try to catch it, but the sound goes out,<\/p>\n
the way all restless things come to go out.<\/p>\n
There are no cars out, so I stop at the yield<\/p>\n
for maybe minutes. Enough time for it to rain and quit raining<\/p>\n
or start raining.<\/p>\n
