Bailey Hutchinson<br \/>\n<\/em><em>with a nod to Nicole Sealey<\/em><\/p>\n<p>of course i know the moon<br \/>\ndoes not follow us<br \/>\nbut across iowa<br \/>\nit follows us: blood-<br \/>\norange and low\u2014before<br \/>\nwe know if<br \/>\nmy car has been towed,<br \/>\nbefore we find its halo<br \/>\nof snow from being<br \/>\nplowed around, we eat<br \/>\nfried chicken<br \/>\nin 3 states. 3 nights<br \/>\nfrom now i will want<br \/>\nagain<br \/>\nto cease existing<br \/>\nbut today: podcasts<br \/>\nand playlists from<br \/>\nour younger growing,<br \/>\na moon recently full<br \/>\nand tonight not quite<br \/>\nbut still it holds<br \/>\nat least your attention,<br \/>\nan object at which<br \/>\nwe wonder. if we<br \/>\nare finding how<br \/>\nto live now<br \/>\nand not just prepare<br \/>\nfor the next thing:<br \/>\nlet me not want again<br \/>\nfor a soon death, but instead<br \/>\npraise this: the plow<br \/>\ndriver letting a car<br \/>\nin a lot take up<br \/>\njust a little space; the highway<br \/>\nthat keeps this car moving<br \/>\nwhile the moon<br \/>\nappears fixed so far above;<br \/>\nour bodies, when measured<br \/>\nagainst the road,<br \/>\ngoing 60 miles-<br \/>\nan-hour, but, in reference<br \/>\nto each other,<br \/>\ngoing nowhere.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><a href=\"https:\/\/wp0.vanderbilt.edu\/nashvillereview\/archives\/16357\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">MARLIN M.
