Artist’s Statement<\/p>\n

\n

Existentialism, surrealism, anarchistic philosophy, and social\/ecological activism shape my worldview, and I hope some of that finds its way into my images. I choose to brand my photos as \u201cImages Without Borders Photography\u201d because I believe borders are arbitrary, imaginary lines on a map that are used to divide people instead of bring them together. The images in this series are from Northern California, Norway, Oregon, and Iceland, and it\u2019s hard to say which is which, or whether it matters. We share this amazing planet with so many other people; we need to abolish nationalism, capitalism, imperialism, and all the things that are destroying the earth and dividing the humans that inhabit it.<\/em><\/p>\n
