girl. I\u2019m here to claw any dull prize
\nfrom the world\u2019s fist & flaunt it
\nlike a summer home, to showcase
\nmy life like it\u2019s the backstory of a contest
\nI\u2019ve already won: the apartment<\/p>\n

not clean enough, my healing salt
\ncrystal & inspirational quotes,
\nevery man who never loved me rapt<\/p>\n

with my winged eyeliner. Let the host
\nsay can you imagine\u2014once some nobody<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

wearing sweats until noon, crying
\n<\/em>in the shower over the New Zealand Gannet
\n<\/em>that died wooing a replica of itself.<\/em><\/p>\n

Look at her now\u2014chosen, cheekbones
\nglossed sharp enough to cut the sun. See\u2014
\neven the sad girl can be made worth<\/p>\n

watching. Tune in to see a contestant\u2019s
\ntears sparkle, a glass of Prosecco
\nat her lips. This morning in the real

slowing to see a sedan on the shoulder,
\nthe crushed hood caving into itself. I was taught
