Will the best songs<\/p>\n<p>always feel like oldies now? &amp; should we<br \/>\nbe worried? Dalida has a song where she forgets<br \/>\nshe\u2019s twice 18 &amp; almost autumn,<br \/>\nwears too much makeup &amp; seduces<br \/>\na young man. I ask you if, in theory,<br \/>\nan eighteen-year-old god would want<br \/>\nto undress me, &amp; you inhale<br \/>\nthrough your teeth, begin<br \/>\nto say something when<br \/>\nour little girls call us back<br \/>\nfrom across these rooms &amp; we walk<br \/>\ndown the corridor toward them.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve become better at this entangling<br \/>\nof our bodies, though we don\u2019t recover as fast<br \/>\nfrom vodka anymore, &amp; the headaches last<br \/>\nlonger. Last weekend, we lay hungover<br \/>\non the sofa all day, &amp; our girls<br \/>\nwatched as much TV as they wanted,<br \/>\n&amp; they said, <em>Thank you thank you<\/em>.<br \/>\nWe knew better, but still allowed<br \/>\nlove to sound easy sometimes.<br \/>\n&amp; yes we\u2019ve wasted so much, &amp; so many<br \/>\nof our days, but do you remember<br \/>\nyour old car?
