Once, I came to<br \/>\nin a tsunami of kudzu. Once,<\/p>\n<p>in the Ace Hardware store<br \/>\nparking lot. It\u2019s a lot<br \/>\nto ask of anyone &#8212; Do you think<\/p>\n<p>you can ever believe?<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the gardenias<br \/>\ncan\u2019t keep it to themselves.<\/p>\n<p>The bougainvillea go on blooming.<br \/>\nOut there the stars<br \/>\nare firing up like wounds too hot<\/p>\n<p>to bear.
