You wrote<br \/>\nthere was a hawk killing Aunt Gail&#8217;s chickens<\/p>\n<p>and leaving the bodies behind to rot in the yard.<br \/>\nYou wrote that you found the hawk very dead<br \/>\nand shot: a sharp-shinned female, very soft.<br \/>\nYou&#8217;ve never seen a bird that beautiful, you wrote.<\/p>\n<p>You said its yellow eye looked skeptical<br \/>\nand reptilian.
