He doesn&#8217;t just play it, he becomes it &#8212; or maybe, it becomes a part of him.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Firstborn son of a mortician and a schoolmarm &#8212; is a skilled multi-instrumentalist and an award-winning songwriter. He was born and raised in Twin Falls Idaho, a mile from where Evel Knievel tried to jump the canyon on a motorcycle. <\/p>\n<p>Instantly recognizable in a bow-tie, purple jacket and highwater pants, Korby is a dynamic, compelling performer. Sometimes up on tip toe, sometimes singing in a hush, his performances are known for being engaging and personal. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer likened his voice to &#8220;cool lemonade on a hot summer day&#8221; &#8211; the same year he shared the stage with Willie Nelson at Marymoor park.<\/p>\n<p>Korby released his 6th full length record in March of 2014, and has been touring heavily since. In February he signed a licensing deal with Secret Road, and shortly afterward his song If I Prove False to You was added to rotation on Sirius XM &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-lapUOr3q1U\">The Coffeehouse<\/a>.&#8221; Another track, Forbidden Fruit appeared on two episodes of AMC Family&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QkGlIJU6Qjo\">The Fosters<\/a>.&#8221; <em>Music and Musicians Magazine<\/em> dubbed Korby &#8220;Who&#8217;s Next&#8221; in their June 2014 issue. Korby released his fifth official video this year, for the quirky &#8220;Here We Go Again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A longtime writer of fiction and memoir, August 2014 found Korby releasing a book of short stories.
