Don’t see a current education session scheduled? If you don’t see an in-person session that will meet your schedule or, in the event, we don’t have a current offering, remember that you can satisfy your human subjects training requirement using one of the following options.

1. A refresher course through the CITI program; or
2. An optional course through the CITI program (e.g., Good Clinical Practices or Responsible Conduct of Research); or
3. Completion of the OHRP “Investigator 101” training module; or
4. Attendance of a local, regional, or national conference regarding human research protections

Coming September 15th.. online sessions through the Learning Exchange! We will provide more information when those modules become available.

 

Appropriate documentation (certificate of completion) of attendance is required. Email certificates for sessions completed outside of the Vanderbilt Learning Exchange and CITI website to TrainingCertificates@vanderbilt.edu. Please allow 24 hours for DISCOVR-e to be updated.

In-service Requests


Our Workshop registration process has changed:

Registration is now completed through the RATE (Research Administration Training Enterprise) system.  RATE is a web portal developed by the VUMC Office of Contracts Management and Office of Sponsored Programs to manage training schedules, registrations, and resources.  View upcoming VHRPP sessions and sign up to attend by following this weblink:

Workshop sessions typically count for 1.0 Human Subjects Credit and CME credit.

 

 How do I get credit for attendance?

Sign in for Workshop sessions are completed electronically through the Vanderbilt CME (Office for Continuous Professional Development) office at the following website or by texting the SMS code provided at the meeting to 855-776-6263.

 

If you do not have a CME profile:

  • Access the internet with either your cell phone or computer.
  • Visit https://cme.mc.vanderbilt.edu/.
  • Log in using your VUnetID and password.
  • Create your profile.
  • For questions regarding setting up profile call 615-388-4060.
