Careers in Science Policy: Q&A with Kei Koizumi

Since February 2017, Kei Koizumi has been a Senior Advisor in Science Policy at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), after spending 8 years as Assistant Director for Federal Research and Development and Senior Advisory for the National Science and Technology Council at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP).  There, he was responsible for leading OSTP engagement on the U.S. Federal R&D budgets, appropriations, and policies, and for science and technology policy coordination through the National Science and Technology Council.

Koizumi will be speaking about Careers in Science Policy, Thursday, March 28th from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in Featheringill Hall, Room 138 and serving as keynote speaker and judge for this year’s 3 Minute Thesis competition on Friday, March 29th.
