In this program, facilitated by Frontiers Abroad, students enroll directly in the University of Canterbury, ranked among the world's top 250 universities. Students will also participate in a 5-week field camp traveling throughout New Zealand prior to the start of the academic semester, then continue their research with an independent project while studying at the University, along with three other Canterbury courses of their choosing. Students live in an apartment-style complex across from campus. Christchurch is the largest city in the South Island, and has a variety of activities such as hiking, rock climbing, skiing, movies, concerts and art exhibitions. The city center is just a quick 15 minutes away from campus.
