In this study center program facilitated by CIEE, students may enroll in one, two or three summer sessions, taking one course per session. Dakar is the political and economic capital of Senegal, one of the most democratic countries in West Africa. The city is home to the National Assembly, president's palace, and busling Sandaga Market. Students live with a Senegalese host family where they can practice their French and/or Wolof language skills, and learn about the day-to-day life in Senegal. Students truly immerse themselves in Senegalese culture through their homestay, excursions in the city and throught the country, and their coursework.
