In this program, facilitated by IES Abroad, students experience a hybrid of study center classes and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid classes.  One Spanish language course and a minimum of one STEM-related course are required components of the program. Students live in a variety of places: homestays with local families, shared apartments, or in an on-campus dorm. Along with being an ideal city to study engineering, math, and science, Madrid offers a multitude of cultural activities such as volunteering, lessons in Spanish cooking and dance, sporting events, and weekend activities with Spanish students. IES Abroad also offers field trips to close by destinations throughout the semester.
