This study center program accommodates intermediate to advanced Chinese learners and takes your Chinese fluency to another level through 20 hours per week of Chinese language courses that take place in and out of a traditional classroom, living with a local Chinese roommate, and a full-time Chinese language pledge. Advanced students may pursue a research track. Harbin as a city provides full language immersion opportunity with few English-speaking expats, neutral dialect and textbook accent. Harbin Institute of Technology where CET Center is located, is a central hub, giving students easy access to activities such as singing karaoke, attending the Ice Festival, or visiting Confucian and Buddhist temples. Overnight excursions to other Chinese cities add to your cultural immersion and strengthen your language skills.
