Supporting Your “Big Fish” in Our “Little Pond”
This panel-style presentation will discuss the 2014 Princeton Review finding that Vanderbilt has the happiest college students. Panelists will discuss the impact of the pressure to succeed at Vanderbilt and ways families can help students manage their stress. You will hear from staff members of the Center for Student Wellbeing, and student mentors from the Vanderbilt Recovery Support program and Liaisons Educating and Advocating for Psychological Support (LEAPS).
Greek Life Panel Discussion
Parents of current Greek students and staff from the Office of Greek Life will provide an overview of the fraternity and sorority experience at Vanderbilt and answer questions about the Greek community.
Social Justice and Identity Panel and Discussion
Hear from the representatives from the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center, Inclusion Initiatives and Cultural Competence, LGBTQI Life, Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center, Transition Programs and University Chaplain and Religious Life offices about the many resources available to students.
Study Abroad Panel Discussion
Students and parents of students who have studied abroad will join staff from the Office of Global Education to provide an overview of study abroad opportunities at Vanderbilt and answer questions.
