Li-Young Lee “The Undressing”

Any night of the week in Nashville, you can take in world-class musical talent. And though the local literary scene is booming, opportunities to hear some of American Letter’s contemporary greats is still more rare. Which is why you shouldn’t miss the chance to hear poet Li-Young Lee read from his newest collection “The Undressing” this Friday, November 1, 7:30 pm at The Global Education Center. Winner of such prestigious honors as the Guggenheim Fellowship, the Whiting Award, and the James Laughlin Award, Lee is a singular voice in American poetry. A poet who writes movingly about family, lineage, and the dynamics of power. You can go and hear his work for yourself, and the opportunity is only sweetened by the chance to study with Lee the following Saturday, November 2, 10-12 pm. You can purchase your tickets to the reading, the class or both here.
