Iverson named new QCB Director

Posted by on Friday, October 11, 2019 in News.

The Program in Quantitative and Chemical Biology has new leadership. Tina Iverson, Pharmacology, will assume the role of director from Hassane Mchaourab, Molecular Physiology & Biophysics, who served as director since 2015.

The QCB Program was established more than 15 years ago by Al Beth and Dave Piston. Originally called the Chemical and Physical Biology Program, the QCB program allows high-achieving graduate students the opportunity to conduct research at the interface of biology and chemistry, physics, engineering or mathematics. It exists as a counterpart to the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program (IGP), a sister Ph.D.-training program designed for students who come from life sciences backgrounds.
