Students completing the program will receive degrees <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">such as \u201cPh.D. in Anthropology and Comparative Media Analysis and Practice\u201d or \u201cPh.D. in English and Comparative Media Analysis and Practice.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-contrast=\"auto\">About the Program<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">CMAP\u2019s central aim is to support research, skill-building, professionalization, and mentoring within and across existing disciplines, departments, and centers while having students maintain their links to their respective home departments. Each year CMAP admit<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> six graduate students from different fields of specialization to the program. They participate in seminars, workshops, and research projects as a cohort. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">S<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">tudents take 18-20 credit hours of course work in four consecutive seminars and two <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Maymester<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> courses. In order to meet the demands of additional course work, knowledge and skill acquisition, internship<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and research activities, CMAP students will be eligible to apply for one year of graduate funding in addition to the five years of support they typically receive from their home departments at Vanderbilt.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>How to Apply<\/h2>\n<p>CMAP is currently not accepting applications for the program.
