Grant Funding Resources for Educational Initiatives

Posted by on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in News.

Interested in seeking funding for an educational initiative of some kind?  Perhaps a course revision or a department- or school-level project?  Or perhaps collaborating with faculty at other universities?  The CFT has put together a collection of grant funding resources for educational initiatives.  This guide includes links to local grant-related resources, internal funding sources, searchable databases of grant opportunities, and selected external funding resources, including a few targeted at particular disciplinary clusters.

Vanderbilt faculty, students, and staff interested in applying for a grant to support an educational initiative are encouraged to take advantage of the CFT’s grant consultation services.  CFT consultants are available to support Vanderbilt grant writers in a variety of ways.  From meeting one time to discuss the educational components of a grant application, to ongoing conversations about the design of assessment strategies, the CFT can help. CFT consultants are well versed in current research and literature on best practices in university teaching and can help to connect grant writers with important resources.
