Calculus Club

Small Study Groups at the BCC provide students enrolled in CHEM 1601, MATH 1200, and MATH 1300 with the opportunity to regularly meet and learn together with a group of peers and a facilitating tutor. All students who wish to be considered for participation should fill out and submit this application form by Wednesday, August 29, 2018. Admission to a Small Study Group will be based upon the strength of the application. Each group is limited to 10 participants. However, we will also create a waitlist.

Small Study Group meetings will begin the week of Sunday, September 2, 2018. Groups will meet weekly for the duration of the semester, and group members are expected to attend all weekly meetings. Three absences from group meetings or withdrawal from the course will result in dismissal from the group. In the event of a group member’s dismissal, a waitlisted applicant will be offered the vacant position.

Please note that this is a pilot program. As such, it is possible that we may not be able to meet demonstrated demand for Small Study Group participation.
