Black Graduates’ Recognition Ceremony

The Black Graduates’ Recognition Ceremony spans over three decades as the culmination of all the hard work and dedication our students have put in over the past four years.  It not only serves to recognize their accomplishments but honors the parents, families, friends, faculty, staff, and others who supported their endeavors.  The ceremony takes place on the Thursday evening before the official Commencement ceremony on Friday and features the graduates processional, Harambee and Trailblazer awards and an opportunity for every graduate to stand on stage while their degree is read and their families are recognized.  Last year over one thousand guests filled Langford Auditorium as this is an event that simply cannot be missed.
