The February 2018 issue of the Nashville Arts Magazine features Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons, the newest faculty member to join the Vanderbilt University Department of Art.  Professor Campos-Pons joins Vanderbilt University as a Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor of Fine Arts.

Previously holding a professor position at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Professor Campos-Pons has an international presence in the fine arts world and installed permanent site-specific work on the Peabody campus titled Imole Blue, a planted garden of 4, 400 grape hyacinth bulbs in the shape of her home state, Matanzas. The garden maps the street ways of Manguito, Cuba.
